Okay I've been at this for a while and it's got me completely stumped.

I wish to ad an image as a background to a web page but I do not know what code to add so that it doesn't just end and start again if I scroll down far enough.
I know I can use Dreamweavers CSS to do this but I can't even get the image to show up and when I do my flash buttons go all warped so I'm wondering if I can just add a line of code in myself to bypass the CSS (which has been nothing but a headache all day long).

I'm not even sure if this is possible as I know very little concerning HTML but I guess if anyone would know they'd be here so any replies would be well appreciated!

Add bgproperties="fixed" to your body tag. Like this
code:
<body background="abc.jpg" bgproperties="fixed">
[/QUOTE]Now only the text will scroll whereas the background image will remain, you guessed it , fixed. [img]smile.gif[/img]

With bgproperties=fixed , it will still tile; which you might not want - check your page in higher resolutions, and if you want only one instance of the image in the background, add
body {background-repeat: no-repeat;}

to your CSS. This will not fix the image, though, simply stop it from tiling - meaning you may wish to use both codes at once.
