I'm in the Unseeing eye quest right now and I have a giant beholder on my back....but it really doesn't want to get off, let me through or, well, STOP KILLING ME.

This is my fourth attempt at killing it and I can't even get past those damn little other eye thingamajiggers! I am finding this beholder and his friends a million times harder than the Shadowdragon which only took me 2 or 3 tries and didn't need much strategy.

Who here is a Beholder-hunter from the outback? I need some pointers, one and all!

*Ain't I a fineeeeeeeee lookin' strumpet?*

Does it please you to opress me, to spurn the work of your hands, while you smile upon the schemes of the wicked? Do you have eyes of flesh? Do you see as a mortal sees? Sometimes I feel like you want me to fail...

Get the collectors edition patch (if you don't have it already). When you install it, a merchant named Deidre will appear in the Adventure Mart and you'll be able to get the Shield of Balduran. It will take out Beholders and Gauths in no time (it reflects beholder rays). It will cost some money some make sure you have high charisma and a high reputation to lower the cost.

or a technique that will do some heafty damage to them then you can go in for the slaughter while your party is all pumped up (with hast, bless, chant, ect.) IF you have a mage and he has spell seaquencer and fire ball. What you do is set a spell seaquencer to have THREE fire balls and take your mage and select your seaquencer (Full of fire balls) and you target the big Beholder (not the lil gauths) and let the three fireballs rip the lil gauths to pieces.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

The cloak of reflections is in the Sahaguin city on the dead body of a Sahaguin pristess. Sheis with her retinue near the centre of the map I think. It reflects magical DAMAGE back at the source so not things like slow, dispel magic etc etc. Using it is considered a touch cheesy (As is using the shield of Balduran) I prefer hasting my characters then following in several fireballs or other area effect spells-seems fairer to the big round guys somehow. Just try not to get involved against too many gauths/beholders at once because they will rip your party apart at low/moderate level.

My personal antithesis is the bloody mindflayer-sod them all
