I sure do Memnoch, see the card demands more voltage then the AGP port can deliver. No biggie to connect it. The 1-2-3 step guide is almost a bit too easy to understand... for once

Hmm... sorry to come in about 4 hours too late, but did anyone see the PixelView 5900XT Golden Limited? That card rocks. It's clocks are by themselves faster than an FX 5900XT, and you get a 5.25" card LCD monitor as well as mean OCing. And it has a hideously large and extremely cool cooler(pun) which makes the card look like an armored tank. Priced for about 200$. Best buy I'd say, I'd buy that rather than the 5950. Amybe it's not too late to change the order?

256 MB vs. 128 MB of memory doesn't really decrease performance, unless the memory (or the GPU) is actually clocked lower. clock per clock, 256 and 128 MB cards will perform practicly the same, unless when there are so many textures used they fill up the 128 MB. but in such instances, the 9600 will run too slow anyway, so it really doesn't make much difference if you get a 256 or 128 MB version 9600.
but the same advice as we've given Memnoch applies here - the 5900XT is a better choice, considering the small price and big performance difference. or in your case you could consider a Radeon 9800 (Pro or non-Pro, don't get the SE), which costs about the same and is even a bit faster than the GF 5900 family. but OpenGL support is inferior when compared to GF cards, so if you're a NWN/Quake/Doom3 fan, stick to nVidia.
but in any case, the 9600's performance is about the same as the 5700's, so both are badly outperformed by the 5900 or 9800 cards.

and Memnoch, have fun with your new toy . i'm sure you'll be very happy with the performance. just don't forget to connect the external power connector when you install it

Hehehe. I forgot to do that when I first installed my 9800 for the first time, my computer was constantly beeping and I couldnt figure out why.

GPUs are easy to overclock though. You will easily be able to get this speed out of any other ones, since there is standard speed and companies cant vary it that much.

And Memnoch, good choice, better than your first 5700 you were looking at. Your card should be a solid performer for a few years to come, have fun with it.
