Were they gay or pretending to be? Sorry about asking such a dumb question, but these type of things tend to go right by me. Also, is anyone here a fan? I'm personally not, but again, I'm curious.

I'm not sure about that one Sir Degrader... who knows, the gay bit could of been something so they could get out of singing, maybe they got fed up with pleasing the crowd.
Personally I'm not a fan of them, but my father likes their music.
Try waking up to YMCA every saturday morning, then you would know the turmoil in a which a family member likes their music too much...lol

Lauren, you forget -- or maybe do not know -- the promise that the YMCA had at inception.

And as for the preeminent question, howabout we ask if they were pretending to be part of a gay culture, whether or not they were individually gay.
