I don't see what the big deal is with demanding self-improvement. I'm trying to do it all the time, since I'm not happy with myself in a lot of ways. Ok I understand the counter-philosophy i.e. you should be happy with who you are. However, I only agree with that if you truly believe that the person you are is what you want to be and as good in every way as you can or want to be. Personally I'm a long way from being satisfied with the person I am and thus if any woman demanded self-improvement from me I'd be like "of course".
