Hello, has anyone found an idea to get the mermaids our of the way without slaying them? I can not enter a room. It reminds me of the stupid toads-syndrom... When I talk to them (Goodbye...) they turn their back to me but stay in position.

Welcome to the board, Schmockelix!!!

Try using VANISH on the mermaids or your group. Either way, something should move!
Sometimes talking to them and then saying goodbye will get them to move but as you've already learned that isn't reliable. Vanish works better.

Hope that will help!

I've never been smart enough to think about vanishing them, so I always ended up slaying them in battle if they wouldn't move. Next time, I'll vanish 'em -- I really don't like killing NPCs (Sebastio excepted).

lol!!

D'Soto never bothers me simply because we only have to listen to it once. Sebastio, on the other hand, has to be redundant at great length to everyone of my characters one at a time which is *painful*. Sebastio is on my "list".

I only have to hear D'Soto twice (okay, three times if you count the tower, but I ignore him there). So he doesn't bother me. Sebastio, on the other hand, is due for a cup of special tea... a cup brewed with numbwort to paralyze his vocal chords.
