Question Mark Could Toyota or Honda buy out GMC? And Energy Ideas

If it's possible, I wonder if it would happen..

Or is GMC too far gone... (they would have to pay off the bills right?)
Lets play 'what if'.

IF Honda or Toyota managed to turn GM around, and it didn't anger the US people (you know how some are), do you think they would really re envision the GM line?

To me, today, Ford, GMC are 'cookie cutter' looking cars.. they look so prefab its sad.. no style, no "WOW" like we were used to seeing..

And what do you think about electric cars? I think its bad--bad as in we'll have millions of dead batteries in landfills (I hope they forced laws to make them recycle them).. Remember, it takes like..what, 20 or more big batteries to hold a charge for 80 miles? crazy..

But I guess as a stepping stone to hydrogen, its the only way. currently..
I did envision this day--when I was like 15.. I thought, "to get cars off of gas will take 20 years", and we'd have cars with duel fuels like the VCR/DVD had to get us less scared of DVDs... Now we have 'flex' vehicles..

The Nanotech revolution coming WILL change energy though--with batteries and solar cells.. (nano batteries will be able to recharge within 30 seconds some say!) That day needs to come soon!

Your thoughts on this?

I don't think so Z,
Honda makes an excellent line of cars. Why add junk to their inventory? And people would still see it as a Honda anyway, so they wouldn't feel they were buying American. Even though Honda makes more cars and parts in NA than GM does.

Yeah.. GM made such poor choices.. Just think, if GM goes under, Pontiac is history. (Poor KITT, no more parts)

..new KITT is a Ford anyway..

..course, it might work if Honda kept just one line of vehicles. Maybe their sporty line actually..

If it is taken over, will they make their cars the same way, eg Holden? Or will the designs be completely different? And I agree, more sporty fast cars please.

Yeah, it really was not that great. I did like the look of the new KITT though.

Wait, this doesn't affect Chevrolet at all does it? I would hate to see the end of the Corvette.
