Funny though, many people who were born before 1975 really liked the 80's and those born after 1975 seem to dislike it alot where I come from. I'm from 1981 and although I respect those years as a necessary step in evolution, I find them terrible

The only things I remember about the eighties is the rock music, the hilarious fashion and hairstyles and Depeche Mode.

Realised that I was not the focal point of exsistence in the universe, that people you thought were laughing with you were laughing at you, and that if I simply kept my mouth shut no one could misinterpret what I said...

mind you I was only 11 when this happened.

Other than that, wonderful decade to grow up in, My first favourite band was Duran Duran, best cartoons that will ever be made (GI JOE, Transformers, Heman, Thundercats, snorkels ). And some of the stupidest fashion crimes ever to be realesed on human kind... anyone remember the gloves with half the fingers cut away... was that cool or what?... No...

I loved the 80's, the music, the culture, everything. Miss the long haired rock bands, now the rock bands are all shaved headed tattoed-up beer bellied unsexy guys LOL.

You know I saw a show on TV (VH1 I think) this weekend with Vince Neil from Motley Crue getting plastic surgery on his face, and a makeover too re his hair and body (dieting), etc. Ugg the plastic surgery footage was sickly LOL, nothing like seeing a face as a flap! I didn't see where it made much difference either re his looks, if anything it made him look "cheeky," that's the kicker.

1986, and i loved the 80's. I still love them. everything i hold dear came from then. Music, My girlfreind, etc. it was just a great decade to me.

p.s. i loved the thrash metal fashion (leather jackets rule!)

Well I was born in 1984... So basically a lot of great things happened during that decade... and I have no idea what they were! Sad...

What the 1980's has done to you, the 1990's has done the same, but then I am seeing that 2000 onwards has been more of, fulfilling. We'll see as we all get older.
