If I could afford the subsription fee (assuming it is $30.00/month), I would rather go and get myself a new game every month.

I've been reading this thing for awhile, since they first announced it coming out, and it seems really cool. But like I said, a 56k will not do. Damn. BTW, when is the speculated release date? Was it sometime in 2004?

Since they annouce that they will begin beta testing it somewhere in August, I would assume that it will be release somewhere in 2004 unless they could iron out the bugs in 1 or 2 months time, which puts the release date to the end of 2003. But consider that this is Blizzard's first MMORPG, I think they should spend quite a lot of time to test it out. Therefore to be realistic, the launching date should be sometime in 2004.

Blizzard has a history of delaying their projects. Do you not remember the D2 release?

Ah well. If you play alone, I guess they could be. I've never played Hellfire, but I've always thought the first was better than the second.

Back to the original question, there will be no single player campaign. Unless of course, you consider playing online alone all by yourself a single player campaign.

BTW, do any of you know if you can sign up to help make the maps. I wanted to enter the Frozen Throne map contest, but I found out to late... I'm a huge fan of mapping and modding, and it'd be great to help create WoW.

That just sucks that there's going to be no single player campaign! I just loved the single plater missions in Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne. Does anyone know of the storyline in World of Warcraft(other than the races exploring the world)?
