I want your opinion on a particular spell that you like best, and why.

Mines will alway be Melf's Minute Meteors because after whacking at Kangaxx with Keldorn and his Carsomyr + 5 for a few minutes I realised that his prot. from magic just ran out!!! So the poor guy kept on whacking the DemiLich and he didn't realise he was defenceless!!

Anyway, I casted Melf Minute Meteors by accident and IT WORKED!!!! The spell actaully did some damage to the DemiLich - just enough so that he died without imprisoning anyone (apart from a nymph who I don't give a crap)

From then on I filled up all my level 3 slots with that one spell because it so useful against most enemies - doing more damage per round than I could with other spells in that level.

Don't be afraid to try out ANYTHING! You never know if it works or not.

Yes, minute meteors are counted as a +4 weapon.
So mages do have a way to mop the floor with Kangaxx, albeit slowly (but probably no slower than the conventional way).

I love druid spells like summon swarm, because they can nobble whole groups at a time, especially mages and cause panic. Also they can summon elementals without waiting for ages trying to control them. For mages emotion, chaos and domination. Clerics, sunray, false dawn and gate.

YEAAAAAH!! I love spells that send enemies crazy as well such as horror, chaos and emotion. It gives me great pleasure to see them running around like fools whilst I send my army of invisible stalkers after their arses!!!

For a different flavour, try scaring them and then cast gate a few times (making sure that the rest of the party are protected of course from evil). I did this whilst Anomen shielded us and you get several huge beasts trampling down after your horrified enemies.

It works best on those pesky cowled wizards (see my other topics) because they often have several nasty attacks up their sleeves.

Results: Something like Jurassic Park!!

Druid- Call lightining(Beautiful), every summoning( the nymph, the elementals, the critters)...

Cleric- I did 1042(One Thousand Fourty Two!!!) points of damage to a vampire with Sunray as well as destroying 4 uninjured ones in the process with Anomen of all losers!! Completly fabulous!...

Mage- Chain-lightning, Mass inviso & inviso 10' rad., Melfs ass-kicking meteors, SILACRUM(I am two)... and Many more (see sorcer)

Sorcerer- Magic missle, Identify, friends( works cumlatively!!!the way to cheaper stuff with a 25 charisma every time and NO memorization), inviso, melfs acid arrow, blur, mirror image, haste, melf's ass-kicking meteors, greater malison, stoneskin, spider spawn( I love it after 12th lvl. cast it three times for 5 sword spiders), breach, lower resistance, invisible stalker, true sight, mass inviso, ruby ray, abi-dalzims whilting, simulacrum.

One of the challenges of a sorcerer is choosing your spells carefully so i include a few from each lvl that are my favorite.

I love spellcasters! they rule and soon I will start a new game with- Fighter/theif, druid, cleric , a mage,a specialist, and a sorcerer.

Fireball is great to watch...summoning monsters makes for some interesting graphics...doesn't take much to get the mage juices going.

i like using shapeshift spells... although no one really mentions about it its kinda cool for emergency situations.imagine if your fighters are dead and you ran out of spells you can transform yourself into a stone golem to mop them up, i also like to change into a troll since it has regeneration powers that i need in a jiffy... al diziwhatever spell is nice too... as do is horror and emotion. outlook resilient sphere is one of the most useful protective spells ard in case you dont need to do anything and just sit there and watch the fun. always the best and most useful MAGIC MISSLES =) (w/ spell sequencer its the best!!)

Mage:
AbiDalzim's Horrid Wilting, Cloudkill (this seems to work against ANYTHING), Power Word Stun (underrated spell), Breach, Spellstrike (shame you can cast it only from Scrolls)

Cleric/Druid:
Flamestrike, TrueSight, Creeping Doom

Archmage - one problem with casting Gate a few times is that the pit fiends will most often fight each other.
