Arr maties, let then let me tell you when the last time was that I posted something on Ironworks that was really meant in a serious way. It was the Winter of 1927, it was so cold that your fingers would freeze to your keyboard if you didn't have someone pouring boiling water over your hands constantly, and the wind was blowing so hard that we had to use staples, glue and adhesive tape not to get blown out of our chair. Nasty winter, at that, harsher than anything we've encountered (even though the Spring of 1957 also comes to mind). I recall someone - I think it was Yorick - starting a thread about who thought that it was cold, and in all seriousness, with my teeth chattering and solidly holding onto my chair, I typed in "I do", and hell was I serious about that.
That must've been the last time I can still recall that my input was not some sort of sarcastic or cynical comment... Well, maybe I got close in the harsh Winter of '44, but I'm not sure if that one counts... Since the thread was about something about loving rodents, and I was *just* eating a hamster at the moment so I typed about that in all seriousness, but I suppose no one took me seriously back then.
Ah yes, the good old days...
