Probably matched her manicure. She's a beauty queen -- she knows how to accessorize.

92yo woman shot at man when kiss refused.

A 92-year-old Florida woman is jailed after police say she fired shots at a neighbour who refused to give in to her demands for a kiss.

Police say Helen Staudinger of Fort McCoy went next door Monday to visit her neighbour, 53-year-old Dwight Bettner, and grew angry when he wouldn't give her a kiss. She then allegedly fired four rounds into Bettner's house from a semiautomatic pistol, shattering a window. No one was hurt.

Bettner told police he had ongoing issues with his neighbour, who he said had grown enamoured with him and threatened to shoot him when he told her he had a girlfriend.

Staudinger is in the Marion County Jail, charged with aggravated assault and shooting into a dwelling.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned... unless it's a woman scorned with semi-automatic weapons

As for the "Message too short", you need more than quoted text in your message. If there's nothing outside the quotebox, you'll get that.

Police arrest one of 10 ‘most wanted’ at doughnut shop

By Brian Slodysko TribLocal reporter

Downers Grove police on patrol at a doughnut shop arrested a man on DuPage County’s most wanted list after he struck up a conversation and asked officers to call him a taxi, according to police reports.

The 60-year-old Bolingbrook man, Nana Kwabena Nketiah, of the 300 block of Greenwood Drive, was charged with misdemeanor obstructing identification after he requested police call him a cab and then provided a fake ID when police grew suspicious that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant, police said.

Police confronted Nketiah, who was wanted on aggravated DUI charges, with his picture from the most wanted website and he confirmed that was, in fact, his identity, according to reports.

A report indicates alcohol was a factor in the incident, which occurred outside a store in the 6300 block of Woodward Avenue just before midnight on March 14.

Nketiah is currently being held on in DuPage County Jail on $200,000 bond.
So....

If you're on the most-wanted list, don't...
  • hang around the donut shop
  • while drunk in public
  • asking the officers to call you a cab
  • and showing them a fake ID

Hmmm... that's actually a good list for when you're not on the list, too

Coloring book used in jail drug smuggling scheme

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) – Three inmates and their loved ones were charged with attempting to smuggle drugs into a New Jersey jail on the pages of a children's coloring book, authorities said on Tuesday.

The drug, Subozone, normally used to treat heroin addiction but itself classified as a controlled dangerous substance, was dissolved into a paste and then painted into the coloring book, said Cape May County Sheriff Gary Schaffer. Pages with "To Daddy" scribbled on top were sent to the prisoners at the jail in Cape May, New Jersey.

"I've been in law enforcement for 38 years, and I've never seen anything like this," said Schaffer.

Authorities received a tip drugs were being smuggled in drawings, Schaffer said.

Charged in the case were prisoners Zachary Hirsch, Charles Markham and Paul Scipione. Also charged were Markham's mother, Debbie Longo, of West Wildwood, New Jersey, and Katelyn Mosbach, of Trevose, Pennsylvania, who was still being sought.

The New Jersey drug bust was the second one this month involving Suboxone smuggling behind bars.

Authorities at a prison in Carbon County, Pennsylvania earlier this month arrested 11 people in what they said was a scheme to hide the drug beneath postage stamps on letters mailed to inmates from family members.
