BG2 Bar 6 - The Undiscovered Beer

[Ace Flashheart]

Delphie stared dumbfounded at the sharp claw that was suspended only inches from her head... the sharp fangs of the werewolf were shaped in a wild snarl. She hated using timestop... there was something about the figures suspended in time that had always unnerved her and never more so than now...

She scanned the scene that presented her, the pool of blood around her companions feet and the magical energy that was arcing off the chicken warrior he held in his hands, a battle of wills as they both tried to overpower the other. Ahead of her stood the figure of the soucerer Jabidias, palm extended green flames shooting towards her, Wah the lich apparently frozen in time still seemed to shift somehow to keep his eyes on her... he had been passive throughout this duel... she was no match for him in power and the others were only making her chances of escaping alive look even more slim.

Ash had been half way through picking himself up, sword in hand casually dusting off his plate mail.

A divertion was what she needed, something to keep them busy while she escaped. Her staff was an issue, but she could always come back to pick over the remains. Smiling to herself she looked for a breach in the fabric of reality, gently folding her will around it before tearing the rift in dimentions opening a portal for the unspeakable deamon horrors on the other side. Issueing a silent prayer for her traveling compainions she let her form fade in corporeallity.

The timestop suddenly gave way, a single blackened talon extended from the portal and all hell broke lose...

[Grinch]

Ash,protected from evil steps forward as the time stop ends,his +5 drawers of holy resiligency snap back into position.His blade sweeps forward with deceptive slowness,with a solid resounding clang the flat of the blade strikes the dark knight's helm. Stunned and staggered the knight drops Lord Raptor. His backhand twists in mid air arcing up and then downwards,to slice off the silver werewolf's arm,reaching the bottom of it's arc it reverses and slices upward into the beast from groin to sternum. Slamming a foot into the creature's chest he kicks it back so it falls to the ground,disembowelled,yet regenerating. He then steps forward and uncaps his jar of Habenero sauce, dripping it on the creature he mutters some words in latin. There is flash of fire and a hideous scream as the werewolf writhes and dies. As he replaces the jar he is struck by twin blows that slam him away and against the wall. He sucks in air and see's the black knight once again advancing upon him with axes upraised.
The Black knight is good, his whirling attack sends one axe in a downward arc towards the Undead Hunter the other swinging low for a disembowelling strike.
Ash's swords swings low and upright striking away both attacks. His counter strike is narrowly blocked by the knight and he advances with a stern look on his face.
The demons realeased by the gate spell spill outward into the cave,jaws champing,fetid breath spewing,and claws slashing at the others. Ash considers a Holy Smite spell ,but is loath to take his eyes from his opponent again. The female mage casts agannazzar's scorcher,the flames strike against Ash's red dragon plate doing minor damage to him. He advances forcing the dark knight back..

[Ace Flashheart]

OOC: O.K. just to recap. Delphie (the mage) has gone but has left a dimention rift as a going away present. Ash that were wolf you just killed was Rhazor. he will not be a happy bunny. I just broke Celestial Fury have a gaping hole in my chest and just got hit in the head with the Holy Avenger (not my day) and we are about to be overrun by deamons.

Alrighty then all set...

Lord Raptor is protected from Energy Drains, so the Anti-Paladin got no life-force back from him. Lord Raptor wishes he still had Crom Faeyr with him. Oh well. He scarpers to a safe distance and summons an Invisible Stalker to harass people while Viconia calls up 3 Aerial Servants

Melusine pops out of thin air... sorry folks I had to fight off some Etherbugs and Holidaymonsters and stuff.... But I'm back!!! Could someone give me a short summary of what's happened here?

The characters have reached the goblin caves where Tunjuk the dragon lives. Currently we are duking it out with Ace's 3 villains, one of whom has fled rather than face Wah (good choice ). One of the villains has broken Lord Raptor's Celestial Fury (after being backstabbed with it) but got smacked in head by another char

OOC: OK, what is the deal with taking me out of commission? Besides, I don't know what Werewolf you're talking about Ace, but as soon as I pushed Delphie down, I left. So, uh, that was possibly something else? And if Ash did kill me, he would lose his Paladinhood. Killing a Chaotic Good being when you're Lawful Good is not good.
IC: Rhazor is seen with his Moonblade drawn, running up to the rift, and hurtling himself in.

[Tancred]

Coming to his senses as the power of the Time Stop wears off, Tancred stares aghast at the scene in front of him. The party is embroiled in mortal combat; a dark warrior whose mere aura seemed to make Tancred... uncomfortable... was battling Ash and Lord Raptor, and not doing so badly as some. A woman in robes was shrieking spells, and Tancred could see Viconia was feeling the strain of stopping them all.
Tancred stands there, wondering what to do.
A werewolf - Rhazor - leaps to the attack, but Ash is too far gone in battle-lust to recognise this friend in another shape. Carsomyr shrieks around, carving a gruesome cut along the wolf's stomach. Rhazor squeals in pain, surprised beyond belief.
Tancred made up his mind.
He drew his sword, running to where Ash stood over the fallen black knight. Grabbing the Paladin's swordarm just as he prepared to deal the death-stroke, Tancred screamed into his face.
"Are you MAD? He's defeated! Let - gods - let him be!"
Ash growls, and the two Paladins - Undead Hunter and Cavalier - wrestle to break the other's grip. The dark warrior watched them with a mix of pain and bemusement. Slowly, the fury left Ash's face, and he let himself be led aside.
"There," Tancred goes on. "Now -"
A sudden SQUEEEEEEEEEE interrupts the young Cavalier. The party turns around, to see a black rift, hanging in the air where the sorceress had stood. Tentacles and talons emerge from the rift, and an evil cackle can be heard - deep resonant, rich with evil.
All present draw their swords. The black knight groggily gets to his feet, picking up his sword as he does so. A... thing begins to force open the portal through sheer strength, trying to open it far enough to gain entry to the real world.
There is the sound of wings from behind. Turning, the panic-stricken faces of all present are relieved somewhat to see the welcome shape of Melusine flutter up the path.
"Hi guys," she waves, "What've I missed?"
Tancred can do naught but shrug in puzzlement.

Slaughter Margin isjust behind Melusine. He sees the tentacled thing.He doesn't recognise all of the crew but they've stopped fighting. Slaughter draws Blackrazor

OOC LOL sorry Tancred, for popping up out of nowhere, and for abandoning the plot for a while...
Mel never carried weapons before, because she was too sweetnatured...but she was given a barbed magical whip by her friend, the warrioress Saymasar, resident of the Mithril Hall, and she WILL use it to protect her friends
