Hi Folks,
Playing through BG2 for the 5th time now. I've discovered a new bug, least I don't remember it from before. Ridjek Hidesman, when you confront him in his shop he's meant to dissappear after you nearly kill him right?. Well in my game he sits at nearly dead forever and just won't go, strange?.

I had this problem too when I tried to kill him rather than just attack him. I surrounded him with my party (and a monster or two if I remember correctly..) and attacked him. He just kind of stood there. Assuming you have a mage in your party, cast shapeshift->Mind Flayer and kill him. If necessary, you can cast Time Stop first so he won't miss.

Nothing, the game isnt counting on the fact that its possible.
It'll just assume he's still alive. You can kill a certain annoying pirate a million times too,he'll still show up when he's supposed to. If Arkanis Gath shows up to kill you if you managed to screw up the plot with the thieves and you kill him, he'll just keep spawning too. I do believe there's an improved_continuence-mod that allows f.e. certain people to not show up in ToB if you killed him ... but normally the game doesnt take notice. I guess that the computer agrees with Edwin; Death is usually just a temporay setback ( or something along those lines, I dont have a visual memory like some people ).
