Ok techies...I need your help here. While in game I can't ctrl+alt+del for some reason cause it just keeps crashing. Is there any way at all that I could play W&W in windowed mode...how?

I'm tired of shutting it down to go check forums and then loading it back up so I can cheat...

I doubt that you can play W&W in windowed mode since it doesn't really support it. I don't know any switches that work on W&W. What resolution are you playing in? Have you tried alt+tab or ctrl+esc instead of ctrl+alt+del?

1. W&W cannot run in a window. Only fullscreen. Sorry.
2. Ctrl-Alt-Del. Mouse will not work, the screen will be fouled but the keyboard will work. Therefore, it is sometimes possible to quit a frozen game by Ctrl-Alt-Del. But note that this works only under W2000 or WXP. Under W98, you have no chance and you will need to press the well known (well known when running a win**** "operating system" ) button on your computer case and force a cold boot.

Hi SMIV. Radek is almost on the ball. In WIN 98 you can exit the program using ctrl-alt-del most of the time. Do this and then use Alt-Tab, then press the down arrow, and press Enter. Basically the mouse is controlled exlusively by W&W when you are playing it in full window mode only. Although you can't see it, with the above process you are able to exit the program, using the Close Program window. And yes, you can't swap in WIN 98, but this is std for WIN 98 with any of these sort of programs.
The simple test of a completely frozen system is to press the Num-Lock key. If it's frozen, the keyboard led for the Num-Lock won't turn on/off. THEN you need to press the "special" button.

One of the rules of the Gael Serran... once you're in, you can never leave

Okay, you can leave, but you have to leave the game. Any time you alt-tab out, you mess up the video settings on the game, and you can then kiss the game goodbye. There have been times where I've been able to save the game and exit, but it involves a lot of reading messed-up graphics and clicking once to try to figure out where the mouse is. I don't recommend it....
