Why would it have been impossible for them to consume it all in such a short period ? I say it's not impossible, far from that.

Maybe they didn't drink it all, but looking at the time they were at sea, and what little water they did drink, we can safely assume they DID drink a lot of alchool. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

If any one ever looks up the other fact that alomg with the 475 officers and men she also carried a complement of 600 marines and their officers and everyone always leaves them out for the intire complement of men on the U.S.S.Constitution totaled 1,090 men includind the Marines.
My father has an offical manifest from (Old Ironsides) and durring the times that she sailed the marines were never considered in the crew roster but never the less they were there.
And take it from someone that knows, those Damn Marines can drink their weight in booze at least once a week and then fight like they never had a drop.
