I can't do 'em today
They don't convert into little smilies, they just stay as punctuation marks.
The 'disable smilies' box isn't ticked, so it should be alright.

Hi, my name is Epona, and I am a smilieholic. I can't do without slipping in at least 3 per post, which I know ain't much now, but sometimes I get up to 7 without realising it. When I can't get 'em, I feel real bad, kinda shaky.
