It's all about thoughts: think about funny stuff while you're in the dark, not weird or scary stuff. It's more difficult than it sounds, I know, but try it out. Just stand in your room, switch the light off, see how you manage and if not, you can just flip the light back on. See what it is that makesyou frightened and try to ban those thought from your mind.

don't be so hard on her, I am afraid of the dark too, and have to sleep with a light on in the bathroom I have always been this way, and my husband can not stand the light when he is trying to sleep, lol, so it is ok to be scared of the dark, unknown things lurk there [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I don't think it's ok! [img]tongue.gif[/img] However, I think most people are afraid of the dark in one situation or another. I mean MOST people are not afraid of the dark in their bedrooms at night but they are afraid of the dark in a forest. Same darkness, different situation.
