I changed the # of attacks to 5 on all my characters using the Gatekeeper savegame editor but when I go into the game, it looks like it only applies to hand to hand combat. When I switch to bow and arrow the # of attacks goes back to what it was before I changed (ie 2.5 or 3 or whatever it is).
Is there any way to change the # of attacks for bows? (I want to face a dozen enemies and take 'em all out in like 3 seconds hehehe...)

Well, you could go in and edit the items themselves. As an example "BOW01", is the standard composite long bow. One of the global effect parameters is the ROF 2 value (2 shots a round). However, you would have to do this for all weapons similar to it, that is all other bow weapons, magical or mundane. I can't think of a way to do it without the long slog.
Maybe someone else knows a quicker "blanket" method that'll allow you to edit the base weapon itself? [ 10-24-2002, 04:29 PM: Message edited by: Lord Brass ]

Or you could just not bother playing the game at all.

I understand what you're saying Arledrian, but just think. If n00body wants to give it a try, he'll learn something about how the internal mechanisms of the IE work, and probably find that the new "improvements" make a mockery of the game altogether. He'll quickly change it back I'd imagine.
Also, it is his game. You and I might not want to do it, but others might see things...differently.

if my warrior had 5 attacks he'd be unstoppable, he already does criticals of 40 damage most of the time as it is, even sarevok would be running scared

Erm, what program would you use to modify a bow's ROF? Doesn't look like gatekeeper can do it...

You'll need something called IEEP (Infinity Engine Editor Pro) from TeamBG, and the WinBIF extractor. The latter will allow you to extract the .BIF files into a folder, and IEEP will allow you to change the parameters themselves. Go to TeamBG and have a look at their tools (and tutorials) section.
