Not Hungarian, no, but my wife and I spent three weeks in Budapest (with a few days in Kecskemet) this past September. We'd been there about ten years ago, and still feel Budapest is one of the most beautiful cities we've ever seen. Even if it has started added on Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

We rented rooms in homes, attended classical and folk concerts (including Muzsikas), hit the museums, did a lot of walking, and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
