Hey, good to see all of you.

This month has been mental. Work has been full on but there's been time to get out and meet people and see things.

What I find most interesting about other countries are it's people. I've seen a few of the sights and gone shopping, but it's so good to hang out with the local crew and talk to them about Singapore and their lives and even 'talk shop' - getting the perspective of the same industry within a different culture.

One night I also came across a bar called "Derek's" so I had to go in for a beer... Ended up there lots and becoming close friends with a couple who worked there. They have been so generous with their time and friendship - taking myself and sometime others out to shops and markets, bars and sights etc...

It's great having locals who can show us things like great food we'd probably never have tried, or where to see a good live band or even teach us how to bargain.

And I've had a Singapore Sling from a bar on the 70th floor overlooking all of Singapore - had to be done.

We leave here on saturday and I'm really going to miss it...

Hey Harks, next stop is Manila...

Hayashi, there's been a few ironies; That's one (I'm also a Leo) - and I've become quite attached to the Merlion. There's just something about it. One of my new friends was telling me the history behind it all as we went by in a boat a few nights ago. Then in the Chinese calender I'm a Tiger and have also become quite attached to Tiger beer...

You MUST try Glutton's Sq/Corner if you haven't already - lots of sinful food, but hawker favourites. It's at the open car park opposite Centrepoint along Orchard Road.

Hi Leonis! Loved the 'singapore sling' idea! That's great that you have locals to show you around and get you up to speed with what's available in the area!

Sounds like you're really loving this job! Post some pics if you can!

Hey, never made it there (I'm back in Aus for a week) but did go to Marche in Heeren building.

This place is great! You go in, get a ticket with a bar code and choose what you want... not an unusual concept, except if you choose, say, fried vegetables, you load up a plate with exactly the raw vegetables you want, and they cook it right there, with you choosing the sauces and seasonings etc... then same for pizza, steak, seafood, crepes, waffles etc... nothing you don't want, everything you do!

Sydney is so cold... can't wait to get to Philippines...

So weird, I went back home for a week and now I'm back in Singapore (airport) waiting for a connection to Manila.

Feels very strange for some reason...
