What I have learned as I mature

I've learned that you cannot make
someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them and hope they panic and
give in.

I've learned that no matter how much I
care, some people are just assholes.

I've learned that it takes years
to build up trust, and it only takes
suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.

I've learned that you can get by
on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better have a big
weenie or huge boobs.

I've learned that you shouldn't
compare yourself to others - they are
more screwed up than you think.

I've learned that you can keep puking
long after you think you're finished.

I've learned that we are responsible
for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

I've learned that regardless of
how hot and steamy a relationship is
at first, the passion fades, and there
had better be a lot of money to take its
place.

I've learned that no matter how you
try to protect your children, they will
eventually get arrested and end up in the
local paper.

I've learned that the people you care most
about in life are taken from you too soon
and all the less important ones just never go
away.

I've learned to say "F--- 'em if
they can't take a joke" in 6 languages.

then this kind trust is nothing but an illusion

I trust my friends, and nothing can shake my faith. think with your brain, not with your emotions. by using your brain, you delay the impct of fear and doubt and anxiety. think, not react!

Just because Mouse has learned these things from life doesn'y mean they are all true for you! These are just his lessons, agree or not, they are his (or hers) alone!

Are you serious 250?

All I was saying is learn your own lessons and hopefully they will be more upbeat than those of Mouse. I hate to say that a lot of them, I've learned myself...I try not to dwell on them though.

Woah - hold up there guys!!!! This thread is one in a long tradition of lists of witty/cynical/vaguely amusing stuff that circulates around cyberspace. It just so happened that it landed on my pc today and I thought I'd share it with the rest of you.

Do not get bent out of shape by it!!!!!

Oh, and to you 250, it does my old heart good to see someone who is so vehement in the defence of his beliefs - more power to ya

this might clear things up:

I am in love with someone

nothing I said is against you.
