Therefore I tend to judge Bush, and Clinton before hime etc., with regards to their foreign policy. Why? Because that is what effects me. And I'm sorry to say it but Bush has not made Canada a safer place to live in IMO. Sure they might have grabbed Saddam. That doesn't affect me the least. I have never been afraid of Saddam since we have never had anything to do with him. And I don't see why Bush should be congratulated for that; I will however be the first to congratulate the Iraqi people. In short, Bush's foreign policy might seem good to Americans (don't know if it does) but here, well arrogant is actually the best word for it.

OK, did that make any sense at all? If not I'll try to explain my point(s) further if possible.

And ummm why is it you don't comment on the whole rest of the good news? you pick one entry and it isn't even about Canada....?

Off topic I know..but exactly how does American Foreign Policy make Canada more unsafe? And how does a Good Economy for the US translate to bad for Canadians? You ahve me confused....does the US foreign policy mean the terrorists will say to themselves, "Those Damn Americans!!!! Thats it! We bomb CANADA!"? If that is in fact how it works, I would say that perhaps Canada should put the smackdown on Terror and not let the US be the only ones to do it....because that kind of act is irrational and shows that the scum are a threat to everyone and need eradicated everywhere on the planet.

another question just came to mind...you said you "outlanders" don't benefit from a strong economy.....how is that? If Canada has a booming economy, why would you not benefit....I don't understand how that would work....or not work.
Just my opinion there.

LOL Of course then I'd have to insist only Nacht partook! hehe Ack, don't give the man ideas....he's hyper enough around Christmas!

JUST KIDDING!

Donut & Davros - Please accept my apology for being so "snipey". Cloudy is right...it is the season for Goodwill Towards Men (AND Women ). But I got too caught up in the arguement and forgot about that.

So I offer an apology for my actions.
That was very nice. I hope your Christmas is full of joy and you and your loved ones are healthy and happy!

You know, it's times like this that I stop to realize how special you all are all over again. Whatever holiday you enjoy this time of year and even if you celebrate none of the above, may you all be blessed. I actually find myself getting all mushy over you silly guys! *hugs everyone*

See, there's good everywhere you look, you sometimes have to look a little harder than usual, but it's there! *hehe, I'm on topic sorta!*

I could comment on every entry you like. It's all the same. It's good news for YOU as a US citizen. Do I benefit from corporate hiring in the US. I gave one example MagiK. You also managed to miss the small word directly. Whereas a strong US economy might beneift me inderictly I don't get a tax-cut or higher salary. DOW hits 10,000. YAY, I get a promotion!! See what I'm saying?

Again it was one example MagiK. As for feeling safer. You think I should feel safer? Why? Saddam didn't threaten me, and I can honestly say I haven't been worried by terrorism. But if, and I certainly hope this never happens, someone decides to take a swing at the US again, which country do you think they'll cross the border from? I'm sorry but starting wars doesn't make me feel safer either.

another question just came to mind...you said you "outlanders" don't benefit from a strong economy.....how is that? If Canada has a booming economy, why would you not benefit....I don't understand how that would work....or not work.
Just my opinion there. You know I tried to explain why non-US citizens don't celebrate Bush for the US economics. We don't see the effects the same way you do. It has nothing to do about Canada, or Zimbabwe for that matter. Since we most often see an effect from his foreign policy we tend to judge him in regards to that. So I guess you pretty much misunderstood my entire post, at least I warned you.
Edit: Weird font and colors.
Edit 2: OK MagiK, I understand your confusion. Read my post and I typed that I could have quoted your first post. My mistake, I quoted the post I wanted to answer. In fact my entire post is somewhat OT.

Ok Willow I see what you are saying...My good news is for US types only..and you are right...I thought I sort of made it clear that that was my focus..the USA....sorry if it got lost in the other stuff...yes I was refering each issue as being good for people who live here.....there are usually some spill over goodies for other countries though too...with a strong US economy, that means people have more money to buy imports..which does translate into good for people in other countries.

And Speaking of Good News....Here is some more.

 • Libya Opens up it's Nuclear weapons program for inspection.
 • China backs the concept of "private property" which is good news for anyone who lives there.
 • Both DC area Snipers were found Guilty of multiple counts of Capital Murder and await sentencing.
 • Governor Terminator has repealed California's opressive Car tax and has utilized special powers to take control of some state spending.
 • China thanks President Bush for his rebuke of Taiwan President after provocative comments from the Taiwan leader.
 • Return of the King grosses $245 Million world wide in its first 5 days, a new record.
 • Time Names GI's Persons of the year.
 • Moscow to allow couples to have Honeymoons in orbit...for $40 million dollars
 • NASA's New Space Telescope (Spitzer) providing Spectacular Photo's finaly something works

He never sulked off in a huff, and you either know this good and well or should investigate more before lobbing accusations. MagiK's respite was due to some issues that arose elsewhere, and I have quite honestly not seen him sulk or huff much at all, if ever. Keep posting as if banging his head against a brick wall, yes, but sulk and huff, no.

Anywho, just dropping in to check up on the

I know you did MagiK that's why I responded to Z's post. It had nothing to do at all with your post which I indicated in my post above. Silly me. I was only using your points as an example.

Anywho, merry christmas all.
