His attention was averted as his feet slowly seemed to be loosing there friction against the ground."What the..." His sentence was cut short as a computerized voice shouted over the PA.

"Thank you for traveling aboard the Tyrenor, We are now experiencing technical difficulties. For the next hour you may be experiencing weightlessness."

"Damn... this is bad..." Skye said as everyone began slowly floating, while grasping at the walls...

(OOC: Skye, the ship was already floating in deep space, the artificial gravity generators could have been switched off though.)

Zera'n unfolded his tentacles and used them to cling to the wall, this would be annoying, he had eight tentacles and used 2 to cling to the walls, he wrapped the other six around his six companions and pulled them along through the corridors towards the heart of the problem.....

Zera'n pulled the others along with him down a long corridor that ended at a large closed door, as he got close to it he released the others and mentally scanned the area behind the door.

He turned to the others and said, "the leader/queen is behind that door, it'll be very difficult for us to fight it in zero gravity, so once I blast this door open this is what we do: I distract it while the rest of you take out any of the smaller creatures in the room, while searching for the controls to the ship's artificial gravity generator and switch it on again, got that?"

Holding on to a metal track wiht one hand that was running along the ceiling, Derek steadied himself and brought his rifle up with the other. Checking the rifle he looks back to Zera'n~I guess it's now or never.

They all seemed scared, of course, they had every right to be..
*Don't worry, if everything else fails, we'll retreat back to the bridge, and fortify ourselves there*
The other two men, Derek and Skye, appeared to be unmoved by this situation..they had been in battle before.

When André shouted "GO!", Zera'n fired all of his weapons upon the door simultaneously and a large hole was blaste out of it's middle. The shapeshifter used his tentacles to pull himself through the hole, as he entered he stood face to face with the queen.....

After a second of surprise from both of them, Zera'n raised his weapons and began firing, unfortunately most of the energy blasts were reflected off of it's chitinous shell....

Skye Dragonhart

Skye charged toward it and brought his blade chashing down through the queen. It writhed in pain and the after a moment it was dead, "The deed is done," he shouted. They stared in amazement at the corpse.

"That was it?" All of a sudden as skye sheathed his weapon, and put his gaurd down, a sound rang through the dark. He wuickly drew his blade again. The others noticed it to as Derek said,"I thought when we kill the queen they lose all thought and will? wouldnt the be mindless drones now?" Derek said taking defense.

Zera'n replied,"Some insects make decoys of their leader as to protect them," he said wearily, at the thought of having to fight more of them. "And from the looks of it the real queen will be guarded much more..."
