Guess I will get my CD player ready and plenty of books.
Cool, sounds exciting T-D-C, but surely the planes have TV and stuff in them?
All Qantas planes to LA have in seat videos and interactive games like Tetris and such plus quiz's. Are you flying business class or cattle class economy? If you are flying business then you get to use the new skybed seats, which recline to a bed.

Of course if you are flying some other airline then I wish you soggy sandwiches and a turbulence filled flight next to a snoring, smelly bigot.... (J/K)

Hey TDC, sounds like you'll get to sample some Florida orange juice in person! If the company is sending you, then enjoy it! I've been trying to convince my bosses that they should send me on trips to Europe or Australia and NZ for years... somehow they just haven't been convinced!

ROTFL, Wellard, the soggy sandwiches had me in stitches....so TDC, are you flying Qantas?

Internet explorer sucks It can't do anything right. I hate my teacher that he wants a site to work in IE while it's clear the program is stupid.

edit I also hate the idiot who wrote the CSS. (And firefox for rendering wrong things right )

Hmm, having a bad day, are we Phillip? LadyZ, I predicted the same things that you did, but I think MJ is gonna get it, and deserve it, too.

Ah...time to rant eh ? Well, i got some too

Three months ago i ended my membership with Canal+, since i barely watched it anymore and so the 33€ a month that it cost me was wasted money. I paid whatever i owed them, but there still was the decoder that you need to watch the paychannel, i had to return it to them of course. 12 years ago when i subscribed with them, i had to make a one time deposit of 75 Guilders, which would be returned to me once i would end the membership, and returned the decoder in good shape. Well, i figured if i don't return the decoder, i forfeit my claim on those 75 G, and everyone's happy.

Wrong....yesterday i received a letter from Canal+, in which they gave me until the 27th of this month to transfer 226€ to their account, a fine for not returning the decoder. I was stunned, where did that amount come from ? And why did i have to pay 75 G that time if they magically come up with figures of their own that weren't in any contract ?

So i picked up the phone and asked them what happened to my 75 G deposit and why that wasn't mentioned in the letter. They said, and hold on to your hats, that the 75 G was only in order if the decoder was broken, the 226€ were for when the decoder wasn't returned at all. So in both cases, Canal+ loses the decoder, but they make their own rules when the decoder isn't returned. I told the guy on the phone to hang on and listen close while i would go and grab a hammer and smash the decoder to bits and pieces, so they could be sure it was now officially broken, but he wasn't amused.

So this morning i went to the postoffice and shipped the damn thing to them in a box (a package that cost me another 12€), even though they're still claiming the 226€ from me, which i will never ever in my lifetime pay to them. They must hold me for some kind of fool. I'd love to see them sent someone to my place to collect the money, i swear to god i'll splatter his ass all over the pavement.

I am now officially pissed off.

No, I was really annoyed that I had to look into the code of someone who said he could make a good site and has been making all kinds of stupid design errors. Like black text on black background, using references that aren't there etc. Those kind of things. But well it's solved now So I can relax now. But it seems my cd burner has died too

Sounds pretty shady Johnny. Where they come up with a higher figure for a non-return fee, yet lower for a broken box, is strange. Your money you paid when you put the deposit down on the box should have taken care of that. That's what deposits or for! Sheesh. Sounds to me like they are just trying to suck up as much money from you as they can, now that you have unsubscribed.

Hey, all! Anyone into March Madness? I am! Right now my team is playing my other team. EKU Vs. UK. I almost always root for UK, but ya gotta have school spirit! It's actually a kinda Cinderella story. EKU is a AA team, and they're actually in the tourney! I'm excited, lol. Right now we're down 12, but EKU's showing some fire, now. Go Colonels!!

It's the half: EKU 32, UK 40. Things are starting to look up, a bit.

Well, we lost.
Amazing game, though. We were only down by 5, and battling towards the end. We lost 64-72. Man, that's too bad. They were hitting threes all over the place. Oh well, I still love UK, and see them going all the way. And anyone who said this wouldn't even be a game, I think they saw something otherwise, today. Like I said, for a AA school it was a damn good fight.
