I'm only glad the skies above China can't be infringed even one inch by American fighter planes -- without a certain cost being incurred on the American side, that is.

You mean a Chinese mig comes along and crashes into the American plane like not too long ago ?

A Chinese plane intercepted an American one recently for trespassing certain areas presumably under Chinese control.

Sorry, but Americans need to understand they can't have absolutely everything their way and ride roughshod over everyone else. You need to exercise a bit of sensitivity towards what others think.

Kind of like the Chinese attitude toward Taiwan/Formosa? I hear the Chinese are QUITE sensitive on that issue.

Not at far as the Bush Administration is concerned, apparently. Seeing how the good old USA is the only Major World Power, we can do just about anything we want and everyone else should like it and shut up.

We got Tony Blair in our pocket and we'll allow any other Leaders to do the same, they just need to know how to fall in to step with us.

(This was very heavily sarcastic..okay?)

I am an American and I stand on oneside of the issue when it comes to bombs. There is no honor in using them as weapons of war, particularly vs infantry. Killing someone is easy to do in war, soldiers ought to have to look at the dead bodies they create so they KNOW the value of war, death.

Send the spec. ops. in first, to look them in the "whites of thier eyes". If they have a fight, thats what my tax dollars are paying them to do. If they would have done that at Tora Bora they might have captured more than a few conscripts that will tell them what ever they want if it means a ride home.

I wont even go into "the war on terror will create more terrorists 5,10,20 years from now, and dropping bombs on weddings doesnt help..."
-ooops I just did

So you spent all this money on designing a "hornet" and a "raptor" and then you leave them on the ground and send in GI's ? That makes a lot of sense !

That has always been the sad state of affairs in this world of ours, hasn't it? Might is Right.

Well, China learned this lesson from the Brits in the 19th Century, and now she's muscled herself up well enough for America or anyone else to think at least twice before trying to be funny with her.

Keep that in mind when you consider messing up a mainland Chinese wedding. UNDERSTAND?
