just bought the 4 disk set, since I already had the national geographic dvd of lotr, and the cards, so I figured paying more for the 2 book ends wasnt really worth it

seeing it 11 times, I liked the old beginning a bit better than the new one

I think the tune your referring to is played (first) in the Shire, and then in other various parts throughout the movie

you might wanna go and buy the CD, I did, and its wonderful
the song in the shire is called concerning hobbits
