just bought the 4 disk set, since I already had the national geographic dvd of lotr, and the cards, so I figured paying more for the 2 book ends wasnt really worth it

seeing it 11 times, I liked the old beginning a bit better than the new one

Music question. What is the name of that tune that is playing almost throughout the whole movie, that has a solo violin I think, playing a sweet melody? (The count is 1,e,&,a,2, 3, &) 4 sixteenth notes, followed by quarter on 2, quarter on 3, half-note on the & of 3.

I think the tune your referring to is played (first) in the Shire, and then in other various parts throughout the movie

you might wanna go and buy the CD, I did, and its wonderful
the song in the shire is called concerning hobbits
