Im undecided on this as hypnosis only works good if the person is really willing and believes in it and its possible that their just in a dream state and their imaginations are taking over but its entirely possible that its legit also. How much this regression thing cost I might have to try it for myself before knocking it.

One thing I will never do is get hypnotised. I like my mind to be my own, not someone else's, even temporarily. I know some people derive great benefit from it - I'm not knocking it, or criticising anyone - but I am am a bit of a control freak, I think. I never drink more than one glass of alcohol for the same reason - HATE that feeling of being slightly 'out of focus' mentally.

I am truly sorry if I offended you I did not intend for that to happen, and I am not offended myself by ANYTHING people say to me with a good heart and genuineness. Yes, I DO get hot under the collar, but IT IS NOT PERSONAL! Please believe me! I like and respect you, Moni - and I sort of envy your belief, and the beliefs of others. Lady Avalon says I have tunnel vision and refuse to see the truth about spiritual matters. But I don't think it is that (ok, maybe she is right, but I don't see it, lol! ).
I am fascinated by other peoples' beliefs. I really truly want to know. I would LIKE to believe as you do.
But, you see, Moni, I was 25 years as a practising christian, and towards the end of that time I started to notice stuff in the bible that just didn't gel with the god I was being asked to worship. I finished up saying, 'well, if what I am reading here is the person god is, I don't want to play with him any more, thanks'. And I do get really angry about some things, and some beliefs, but 1) the anger is not directed at the person I am chatting to. 2) I won't believe ANYTHING spiritual until I have tested it to breaking point. I don't want to waste the rest of my life believing c**p. I wnat to have real confidence that what I believe is safe to believe in. Ok, ok! I know that is pretty well impossible, but Moni, the reason I seem negative about what people believe is not 'cos I am knocking THEM! I just want answers! Answers I can accept.
Please, as I said to Lady Avalon, keep posting
Fljotsdale,
One of the reasons I did not respond in the other thread was that I knew you meant it in fun, but at the same time I know it is what you believe and I am sorry I let it offend me.

Like I said, I did my testing of God...I was raised to be a christian by a woman who worshipped Satan and believe me, there was a lot of wishing on my part that none of it existed!

No one, and I mean no one can change your opinion about your spirituality except you. Remember that the Bible was written by man and throughout the course of history has been changed in its translations!
God is like a father to us, yes He gets angry that we do not obey and will punish us for it like a father who wants their child to be the best that they can. It does not make him a bad! It means He cares.
I get angry myself that the world is in such sad and sorry shape, but I don't blame God for making it that way, or for allowing it to go on. There is a time for everything and I know one day we will be free of our physical bodies and I want to be ready for a step towards the better, even the best.

Remember that I don't attend church and that I have read the Bible but that I do believe a lot of its meaning has been lost in translation. I merely do the best I can to be someone God can say He is pleased with by keeping the Ten Commandments and following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

With nothing more than faith, I have been given the answers I sought and through my obedience, I have been given a life that many people can only dream of.
I want for nothing and am given all I need.

Keep the faith Sista, for faith is the key. It is not impossible to get your own answers as long as you have that.

Respectfully,
Moni

Moni, that was an excellent response. You're right about the Bible, so many translations made by man. That says it all right there.

Moni and Lady Avalon?

Thanks for your replies
Isn't it good, though, that with our very different backgrounds and beliefs we all have the same principles and standards and the same desire to see other people happy and the environment cared for?
That seems to be the base-line for everything, so it doesn't really matter how we got there
I'd still like to believe in something beyond this life, though. But I want to be able to enjoy 'after'-life on this wonderful planet as well as go explore the universe.
Sheesh! I'm just greedy, lol!
I'm really pleased to know you girls, even if it is 'virtually'.

Hmmm...

THe "Born Again" that the bible speaks of originally pointed towards the idea of reincarnation. Some passages still slip through, such as when Christ said the bit about "Elijah has already returned, and ye did not know him," and the disciples suddenly realizing he was speaking of John the Baptist.

Most of the biblical references to reincarnation were removed under the orders of Theodora, the harlot queen of Byzantium, who was terrified that the passages be used to order a revolt against her and her husband's reign. She, in effect, "carved up the bible" to suit herself.

Remember, also, the burning of the Library of Alexandria. Much ancient wisdom was lost during that time. What we have now is the pitiful remnants of what remains.

Take for example, the phrase..."I can't go on". What does this mean to you?

Now take the full sentence that it came from. "I can't go on Friday, would Saturday be ok?"

See what happens when you remove a major part of an important body of work?

Saz, you are so right about the Bible.

Fljotsdale, I am glad to know you too and hope we can continue to be good friends.

Ha!! I have been wondering if anyone would mention that! (It's at Matthew 17:11-13 if anyone want to know)
And did anyone notice at the Transfiguration (Matt 17:2-8) that the disciples saw Jesus with Moses and Elijah and the voice from heaven said 'this is my son' and then only Jesus was there? This could also be taken as showing that Moses, Elijah and Jesus were 3 incarnations of the same person. I ALWAYS had a sneaky suspicion that that was what the verses were saying... Which contradicts John being an incarnation of Elijah which also seems to be indicated...
Interesting, eh? I thought so, anyway!
