Look more like a tv remote control than a gaming controller.

Well, to be honest, I don't think 3rd party developers are going to bother coding for the motion sensitivity, which kills me...but I just can't see them doing it.

When I first heard about the Revolution's backward-compatibility, I thought to myself "Nintendo's going to release wireless versions of every controller they've ever made, and I'll have to buy them in order to play the old games."

Now I know that's not the case...but I have to wonder how they're going to play N64 games...

Anyone consider the amount of publicity this thing is generating for Nintendo right now?

Hell of a lot?
To be honest, N64 was the best ever console. Because It had cartidges, the plastic outside would keep dust and scratch marks off the chip, whereas disks from Xbox or Sony would scratch easlily, but had much more data and memory on it. The console itself is pretty sturdy, i have had mine since it came out (forgot the year) and it is in very good condition. Now that they made Gamecube, they can't do that and it's basicly a copy of Ps or any other disk game. Playstations break down easily, just like Fords

Well...I too wish they would go back to cartridge-type games, as they could put more data on a cartridge than they could a disk, nowadays, but production costs pretty much kill that possibility.

So, after a weekend of looking at articles and reviews, I'm positive this thing is going to be amazing.

I think the reason Nintendo quit making cartridges was because it was more expensive to do then using disks.

That's the reason I'm boycotting the Nintendo DS, the stylus is designed for right handed people, and it's a PIA to use for southpaws, like me.

Although cartidges had several advantages (the reason why the N64 was cartidge based instead of CD) which include faster load times (not really true with current techknowledgy, but at the time the N64 wiped the floor with the Playstation and Dreamcast), and it's harder to pirate games (since a simple override chip is all that's needed, and they're often sold to people who want to play imported games).

For those of you who have not seen it yet, the add on for normal games...

EDIT:Hehe, ok, it's not the real thing, but hopefully this is what it will look like...
