Antryg, that's good to know! I was thinking the Corollas are in our budget (we still have to crunch a few numbers and I'm the one with checkbook... LOL) but if the seating was uncomfortable for my husband I figured we'd have to go another direction. So we'll test drive a Corolla, for sure.

LOL@ your last part, TL! Rain + Rav4 =collision? LOL

I feel the same about my Rav4, which is also good on fuel. The alternator died within 60 days of ownership, but it was covered by the warranty, and I even made them pay my towing fee (of $300). Other than that, no glitches except for the fact that it's been hard to get my wife to learn that any contact between you vehicle and other structures in the world = BadThing(tm).
I will have to use that trademark. My wife has the same problem with a Camery and hitting structures. Both the left and right side front bumpers have been scrapped on the new house garage. Not happy.

Well we have a 2002 VW jetta. Which is a good car have had very little wrong with it and it is very good on gas. But since the hubby is tall I am not to sure how it would work for you. You need to go sit in one.

And we also have a 2005 dodge grand caravan. Yes a mini-van. Please no laughing. But they are so handy when you have kids.

Also look at lease buy backs you can get some great deals.

Hey, I'd be the last laugh at your mini-van, Mack! All my friends with kids have them and I can see how convenient they are for carting people and things around!
