It is obviously fake, no one in Blizard could possibly get away with something like that, and if they did, why have we not heard of it before?

Hacked server. Look at the modifications being applied in the stat menu, the item was just created via the toolset controls. 255 is the highest level possible for NPC's in WoW. I have seen other items like this picked up by thot on hacked servers.

At first I thought "It must be graphically altered", but then I came to think that as well - private server.

But that might be the hard code level limit.

Perhaps that is the level of the World Bosses (King of Stormwind, King of the Dwarves, etc.), but I'm sure a few patches ago you could get a mod to unhide levels and they weren't that high.

I think they are level 90. Or at least in Beta they used to be.

According to the files, Rag is level 500, King of Ironforge is 90, the King of Stormwind you see in the keep is level 5. The real one is level 60
