And even if you wait until you're married to have sex you still aren't protected against diseases. Makes me wonder if politicians know what HIV is.
Just out of Idle curiousity how many cases of diseases transmitted by sexual activity, not including cases where something was transmitted by blood transfusion, have there been when there is zero sexual activity? To include cases of HIV transmitted by blood transfusion is just wrong and disinenuios(sp?) when talking about diseases transmitted through sexual activity. The thread is about sexual activity not other things. I don't know about the rest of you but if I keep my sexual activity where is it, and my wife does the same there is zero worry or concern for ANYTHING to be transmitted through sexual activity. It looks like there ought to be a refresher course in sex-ed for many of you. Zero sexual activty=zero STD's from sexual activity. Monogomus(sp?) sexual activity where both partners are free of STD's=Zero STD's from sexual activity. In the entire history of the world, for the Christian there has only been one pregnency, when then female was totaly abstinent of sexual activity. In the entire history of the world for the nonChristian there has been zero pregnencies from sexual activity, when the female was totaly abstinent from sexual activity. There has been zero cases of pregnencies from sexual activity, when the male was totaly abstinent from sexual activity.
The same is true for STD's Zero cases of STD's transmitted through sexual activity when total abstinence has been used.

Religion aside for a moment, America in general has a LOT of growing up to do when it comes to sex. Too many people think of sex as dirty or 'sinful' or something that should be uncomfortable to discuss. Yes, it's personal, but that's no reason to not discuss things that need to be discussed.
That is a sweeping generalization based on false and misleading information completely and totally an opinion not based on the truth. No one is saying not to discuss the matters at hand (sexual activity) they have a different opinion on how to handle the matters of sexual activity then you propose. Yet it's ok for many here to pass judgment on others sexual activity, while they complain about, or make generalizations about the sexual activity of others. Yes sexual activty can be sinful it can also be the most beautiful and wonderful activity that humans can engage in. I'll not go into which one I think it is BECAUSE there is no one here on this board that has a ring on their finger placed there by me, and is none of their damn business. And I don't give a rats rear end if it offends, or anybody likes it, that is their problem not mine. I have to many thing to really worry about then weither or not somebody is happy with their sex life or not.

I wish I'd known Epona - I would have brought a carrier bag with me yesterday. I can supply all sizes, in all the textures and colours and have a full range of flavours. (mmmmm! Lager flavour!)

Of course for obvious reasons I keep the extra large ones for myself!

It wasn't deliberate and once again I find myself a half-step behind your wit. So, erm... I don't get it.

GUM is an acronym for Genito-Urinary Medicine. When people have an STD they have to go to the GUM clinic!

Could this be the reason?

Lucky I didn't mention that we get free travel immunisations when we go abroard.

Do you pay to have children immunised against childhood diseases or is that a Government thing?

Also - is it allowed for parents to refuse to have their children vaccinated? Are children who have not been vaccinated allowed to attend school. I ask because I often get asked to provide immunisation data for children who are emigrating to the US. The reason given is that they won't be allowed in school if they don't have proof of immunisations.

No, vaccinations are not grubbermint provided. Yes, parents may decide to not get their children vaccinated, BUT they will not be allowed in public school and most (if not all) private schools. Oh, and children are required by law to attend school unless the parents file for home schooling - the conditions of which change by State. So, it's a catch-22.
