First the Economy hits 8.5, then the Dow hits 10,000 and now Saddam is captured.

Bush just won re-election folks. WHAT A GREAT CHRISTMAS PRESENT for the administration! Wow!

Dizzy, how is the reaction and morale NOW?

I just watched the video where they made the first announcement of his capture. Man...did you see those guys in the front shouting? Does anyone know what they were saying? I could tell they were happy...but I'd still like to know what they were shouting.

I also read that Iraw wants to execute him in front of the people...but I doubt we would be so generous as to allow them that pleasure. I am pretty sure that we will just lock him up somewhere as a celebrity inmate. That sucks...I think we should let Iraq have him to do as they will. It was their land he screwed. It should be thier revenge.

They translated it here as "death to saddam", but i think you could have guessed it would be something like that.

A nice footnote to the Iraqi dictator's fall, though the political value of this will likely far surpass its real value, which at this point is small.

The man who was urging people to throw there lives away as suicide bombers found cowering like a rat, giving up without a fight, no glourious exit in a hail of bullets.... mmmmm I have to disagree timber this was of major importance. Its not going to spur many of his supporters on is it?

Of course the religous idiots will still thrive

I agree with you wholeheartedly Ziroc. This is just really fortunate for Bush and his friends in Washington. They might have won the election just by 'suddenly' finding Saddam Hussein. As I haven't followed the news entirely, I'm not sure: is it verified that it actually is Saddam Hussein? After all, in the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom they were eager to admit that it's hard to find Saddam because he has so many look-alikes.

Has there been a cartoon already of Bush actually capturing Saddam? I imagine the Washington Post, or New York Herald coming up with such a thing.
