That's correct. Some weapons & armor have Strength requirements (You must have at least 9 STR to use this warhammer), and STR-enhancing items, such as certain Girdles, will let you use these items. This is NOT the case for Dual-classing: No matter how many stat-increasing items you use or stat-enhancing potions you drink, only the base number you rolled (plus any Tomes) is taken into account. Your Kensai with 9 STR will never be able to Dual. To anything. Sorry.

btw guys, whats considered a good roll? the best roll ive had was 63 points left over once i put all stats on minimum, or 86 points in total when u add them all up.

I´m playing a solo MultiClass Fighter/Mage/Thief
and i rolled so i got in order.
