I also agree, the drow city was BEAUTIFUL. I didn't think it was boring at all. I also agree that the drow are possibly the most powerful humanoid race in AD&D. Although their numbers are small, they are almost all powerful fighters, clerics or wizards. If they seem weak compared to your character, remember that your group has reached a point where you can almost be called a demi-god. You're slaughtering monsters that can besiege entire cities (dragons, illithids, etc.).
Having just come from rereading the Dark Elf trilogy for the fifth time, I must say that the Drow do impress me. They've managed to survive and prosper in an incredibly hostile environment, developing powerful magic and fighting skills and adapting to their surroundings. If only they weren't evil... ![]() |
