So if this is the last TNG movie, when is the first Enterprise movie slated to start production?

Thats jumping the gun a bit. Enterprise still can be considered only a 'new' series (two seasons so far). Both TOS and TNG only went into the movies after their run on TV had ended.

The TOS movies weren't all that impressive (except for II). I mean come on, Star Trek IV has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It's just a big "Save Our Whales" advertisment. ANd V? The Enterprise makes it's way to the center of the galaxy in a matter of days? Why does Voyager take so long to get back to Earth?

They all are. By my estimations the average age of everybody should be 50+. Hence I think its time to wrap things up and make this the last TNG movie.
Yep, this is the last one. I heard also, that Wesley Crusher will be in it!!!!

A charismatic villain, a heroic sacrifice etc. I esecially liked how the Starship Combat sequences reminded me of the old submarine movies. Undiscovered Comes in a close second, good story yet somewhat predictable and it had some holes. It was also more political thriller rather than sci-fi.

The TNG movies haven't fared so well either. Generations didn't live up to the hype, and it will always be forever remebered for the horribly lame death of Kirk. Insurrection was just plain mediocre and although First Contact is probably the best TNG movie to date. On hindsight it was just an action movie with the Trek label pasted on it.

First things first, I despise Wesley 'I saved the ship!' Crusher as well. You want to know why he's appearing? Since this is the last movie, some things must be put to rest, and this means Troi and Riker are getting married. Nevermind the fact that their both probably sixty somethings, this is the 24th century, where life begins at 90. And you've got to have guests at a wedding right? so enter Wesley Crusher (but shouldn't he be roaming the galaxy with that traveller guy?). Supposedly more characters from the series may be appearing, like Guinan, Admiral Janeway (yes, I said Admiral) and Engineer Barclay. Hey, we might as well bring back Dr Pulaski and Tasha Yar.

Hey remeber that Trek Episode which revealed that Betazoid Wedding ceremonies must be performed in the nude? Hmmmmm.

Good point. They could always resurrect the old Riker-Worf-Troi love triangle. That way we can have an insanely jealous Work slice and dice the happy couple, before they can even exchange vows, with his trusty Bat'leh battle ax.
