Here, I feel like a total newbie... My little ranger used to run from the animals in the game, and I had a hard time even hitting a fly... (seriously, I did)

Much more gooder now, I'm doing pretty good, I think. Keep with it, you'll get the feel for the controls. Just takes time...

Fight on, Cloudy !!!!

But Dawggie, you don't think the mean, evil W &W game is going to do me in again? And again and again? LOL (er this is my 3rd or 4th start, just the first time EVERYONE died.) LOL

Yah, my level 15 Bard and level 12 cleric in IWD do purrty well. Mummies and Bongeguard beware! We can turn dead and ice storm/bardsong like nobody's business!! But I'm lost in this place... Even my lousy stats on the Bard in BG2 haven't held me back there! LOL

Well I'll keep trying...but..sniffle...I do so hate being killed!

I think I forgot to answer this one. My party is two fighters, one elf, one human, both with swords, I think , too...two human wizards, on whiskah cleric and a gnome rouge. Can't remember now, but someone has a bow and others have staffs/magic.

Dang Cloudy, that is too bad about your party all dying and you getting rid of the dead guys. Oh well, creating new characters can be fun too, right?! I wish I could come over to your house and play, I would help you kill those skeletons! I hope you don't give up. It is not a big bad game, you are just having a few operating problems, and I promise if you try again, you will do better! And this time, save, save, save! Don't leave us to wondering now, please come and tell us that you killed the bad guys!

Also, I wanted to take this opportunity to congradulate you on your being "Official" at the GD board and for Ironworks forums. There were so many replies over there, I wasn't sure if you would notice mine, so I will put it here in hopes you do.

Well, here is hoping you go kick some butt!

Mammawlin!

Thanks! I will try again. It's late or I'd do it now! I don't mind a challenge, just hate the dying part! *snicker* I got farther that time than before and actually saw a sun 'fire' spell work on a few skeltons!

I dunno, though, I'm about ready to arm all of my characters with spitballs, surely they can hit someting with those! sigh...

Thank you for the kind words too! I didn't see your post, but I appreciate the thought! I had at least one person so unimpressed as to flame a welcome! LOL over in IWD. Its almost enough to make me hide out here and play more W & W!

This place reminds me so much of my early days on the old board...it was much like this. Friendly and fun and not so HUGE!

awww, I don't know that anyone has thanks! How do I tell what level my characters are? The burn spell did work nicely a few times. Dispel undead sounds like a cleric spell from the games I know! sigh.. oh yah, can anyone tell me what 'repel' does? I tried it on a bat...don't think anything happened.

Cloudy, luv, you hang out here ANYTIME you want!

I've got a GS Examiner coming up that you should get a kick out of! (It's our online tabloid "gossip" magazine about the Strange and Unusual in the Gael Serran).

Cheers, and good luck! Hope W&W is getting a bit easier for ya! Gotta get you used to these 1st person games so you'll be able to play Wizardry 8 and Morrowind when they come out!

Hugs,

LOL!!! You're on the board now! Cool.

"Repel" you cast on a character, not a opponent. It makes the monsters target that character less. "Lure" is the same, but the opposite affect...makes monsters target the character more. Say, if you want your fighter with all the HP to be the main target, cast a "Lure" on him or her...or if you want your wizard to be left alone, cast a "Repel" on him.

TIP OF THE DAY:

to level up your characters, right-click on their portraits, and click the "Level up" button.
