Blade can wear the Elven Chain +5, then cast pro magic weapons. He then grins a very evil grin as he remembers that swashies have no way of dispelling this. He then throws out 3-4 malisons and a few slow or hold spells...game over. Did the swash even hit the blade?

![]() 2) You cast GM? Takes a while to cast doesn't it? At least without the robe. With normal casting speed, it will be a piece of cake for the Swashie to simply run out from your sight range as soon as he see's you initiating a spellcasting, and go invisible. Woops, target disappeared? Spell lost! ![]() 3) You cast Slow? Like I said, good luck hitting any smart player moving at quadruple speed, with a non-targeted AoE spell ![]()

A couple of notes here: Due to game mechanics, Greater Malison cannot be used. The only way to have a PC Blade fight a PC Swashbuckler is either in a Multiplayer game, or in an online duel, which is essentially a Multiplayer game. Therefore, both players will be "green," as in they're allied with the PC. And since Greater Malison (along with ADHW and lots of other great spells) only affects enemies, it is useless in this situation. One neat trick that can be used to counter (Invisibility/Stealth) + Non-Detection is to simply gate in a demon. Neither character can fight it without breaking Invisibility, so if you don't know where the other guy is, just follow your demon.

Now, the third round.
Assasin vs Jester. ![]() Assasin has the short sword of mask +4 and has x7 backstab. He wears the grandmaster's armour. Jester can sing to confuse, wear Asyfuland (sp?) chain +5, same as assasin's weapon, and the amulet of power. He can cast spells up to lv 6. Free for all, as always. Who shall survive? p.s. Methinks Bounty Hunter has the second round.
