Now, you just hold on a gosh-darned minute. Coil up the rope, put the cats o' nine tails back in Choc's locker, and set the pointy sticks back on the pointy hats from whence they came.

Illumina gets to beat up on folks who abuse the language, setting herself up as the overly pedantic mistress of language, and when she stumbles, we're all supposed to just look the other way? If you're going to set the standards, you need to not only follow them, but also lead them.
