In chapter 7 the mail is called Mail of the Bladesinger. AC:1?

FYI: a Bladesinger is a highly trained fighter/mage or at least thats what they say in IwD

Look at that. Ignoring elven mail and +2 weapons... And in BG1 I was scurrying to pick up halbreds to sell them for 14 gp each, and a +1 weapon was a godsend
Wait till you enter ToB. You will start ignoring +3 enchanted weapons... I would literally kill to have those kind of weapons in BG1 or IWD.
You never found Pale Justice? A ** +7 ** sword! There were some other nifty weapons in IWD as well, this one was just the most memorable. It was a sight to behold when the cleric let loose with Defensive Harmony, and my Paladin waded in with gauntlets of the warrior and greater ring of the warrior, i believe his AC was -12.

The way IWD works, none of the items you find are "set" as such. Just because you found them there doesn`t mean that someone else playing the same version will also find them there.
The items are semi-randomised, and so playing through twice with the same party will still yield different effects.

Just ignoring +3? Hells, in ToB I was ignoring any weapon, shield, or suit of armor that didn't have a name, and any gemstone that wasn't a diamond, emerald, star sapphire, rogue stone, or king's tear.. The rest was just junk. I once attempted to bring back and sell every piece of loot from Sendai's lair... I had to make THREE round trips, with full bags of holding and party members encumbered.

They're more than that.. They're trained to fuse bladecraft and magic into one form of combat that is as much art as it is lethal. They dance and sing in combat, sort of like bards.. They're like... bards to the third power. They're super-bards. I can't explain it... Get Evermeet by Elaine Cunningham.

Bah-pssch! Bards in BG2 can fight and sing at the same time too, AND remain invisible as well. Most of the veterans should be able to catch on what I am saying.

They might lack dancing skills though.
