On the front... it's easier to grab and that way it hasn't been rubbing against the wall. How often do most people wash their walls??? And how often do bugs crawl all over then? Ick!

Well I guess I'm in the minority here.In my bathroom there is a window above the dispencer,and i have 2 cats if it comes down the front the wind or the cats can unroll the whole thing onto the floor.

Mind you, that's assuming regular toilet roll. If you wrap x-men comics around a bog roll, it would probably be a different story. They're not very absorbant and can give papercuts on your buttocks
