I'm with Moiraine on this one.. definitely a witch. Not much choice for women during the middle ages... don't want to be a mom/cook/housekeeper... nor a princess/queen... nor a courtesan (not pretty enough) ... nor a nun ... see what I mean? Choices for women were too limited then.

Though could a male Monk live a peaceful life in tranquility WITH a woman....???

With several women maybe ?

Seriously, who were witches, if not strong-willed independant women who hadn't had the chance to get educated, and who wanted to live a free life while trying to help others ?

What about Boadicea (pre Medieval but still...) or Joan D'Arc? How about a Femme Merchant, or a SPARTAN! The Spartan women owned ALL the property. Viking women were pretty feisty weren't they?

(sighs) awww it's pointless. I know I know.... choices were limited.

I'll be selling my 'services'

If that didn't work, I'll probably be a writer since most of the peasants and rich people do not know how to read and write.

Then again, I'll might wind up to be a Jester

Odds are unless you're a Monk, you wouldn't either

I think Scribe, or possibly Playwright. Both of those touch on my own areas of competence (or, to be more honest and less arrogant, they avoid my areas of INcompetence!)

After looking at the other posts I'd be a farmer, you people got to eat I'd charge 5 gps for an onion, 10 for a carrot, 100 for a flagon of my best wine
I'd be an English longbowman.

Inquisitor, I would run around the country and burn people that blamed everything on wolves and witches. Thai shalt not blame gods little creatures, you guttless piece of chicken...

Or something harmless like a monk, doing all that wine and alcohol stuff..

Or a huntsman.

OR
a retired monk who's tired with the vow of chasity
