Uugh brutal heat! Our AC has been very tempermental about working these days too. Heat waves dont last long though. We'll be in the 80s soon and Fall is just around the corner.

LOL I know those bars around Fanueil Hall. Hot, Loud, and Crowded. Not my kinda regular place either.

I tend to favor smaller, quieter, 'great selection of Beer' type places- which of the few I know, Home is my favorite. I do know of some great liquor stores.

Can't wait too meet up!

Weather just turned cooler out my way, Mario, so hopefully it's getting better out Boston way too. ROTFL, I wondered how many bars you'd check out in a weekend....sounds like you found quite a few, quality-notwithstanding!

That apt is probably a good value for your area. Although to put it in perspective, for around that much a month, you can buy a slightly larger HOUSE complete with a yard of your own up my way!

Chewy, I hope the AC hangs in there a bit longer, as I'm betting we get hit with a heat wave during the Dog Days in October!

Burnzey Boi-Some of the drivers here are so bad they drive on the left and right simultaneously like they are permanently freaked out.

The weather has gotten so nice! Our power bill is lovin the 80f degree days and 60f degree nights and I dont have to worry about the AC.

How's settling-in going Memnoch?

I'm actually free on the 25th, a rare Thursday off for me. If some sort of meet-up is in order that day count me in. I can recommend some eateries/drinkeries around Natick, which is not that far from Marlborough where Bungleau will be. If time/schedules permits we can journey into Boston too.

Laters,

Sounds like a winning plan to me I'll let you lead, Chewie, since you know the area.

Good to see you're in Beantown, Mems. I was there in mid-July and did some whale watching and went to Fenuel Hall and a BoSox game.

Good things I'm sure you'll hear you should check:
1. The Freedom Trail stuff -- Paul Revere's home, Sam Adam's grave, the Old Church where the Tea Party was staged, Old Ironsides, great Americana. Very emotional for me as an American. I find that Boston still holds a good bit of that revolutionary spirit.
2. The Capitol building. Same reasons.
3. The Aquarium -- the best indoor tank (a 40' tall coral reef at the center, 5 stories of tank) I've ever seen.
4. Any type of boat tour of the harbor.
5. Fenway for a game, when it transforms to this wonderful shrine with many streets shut down and turned over to street hawkers.
6. Note that some great clubs are located very near Fenway.
7. I see you've gotten your share of Boston's dives, enjoy. Great seedy bars.
8. Theater district -- check at Hot tickets booths for last-minute tix at 1/2 price for everything from Broadway shows to small stage productions at the Universities or private theaters.
9. Prudential center -- decent shopping, great view from the top (do the bar for the price of drinks rather than the observatory level for a fee).

If you explore America during your time here, and get over Chicago way, I've got a spare bed for your stay, and we're good tour guides here.

Enjoy!

Timber *5 and *6 might be offensive to some people, please choose your words more carefully in the future.

No harm done so far, carry on.
