I also suggest giving it's wielder Protection from Evil. Or the summoned demons will attack you...

Yeah what Exxon said. I would make up another story about why you should have protection gainst evil but I don't feel like it. Anyway you should how would you feel you are in a intense bloody battle you are winning and you killed a pit fiend. Your entire party exhausted and has very low health about a hit and they are dead. But when you kill the fiend a demon shows up and kills everybody. Sure Demons are piece of cake but you gotta take a few hits. But also demons can become useful. You are getting ur butt kicked and you summon a demon. You scream and run away far away and let the demon do the fighting. While the demon is fighting you are getting urself healed. You go back into battle kill the demon receive XP and kill the monster that you were fighting before the demon came along. At first when I summoned a demon I thought I would have total control. But the demon came saw me and ATTACKED and before i knew it I saw a lotta purple stuff around me and I raised my hand in the air and saw some kinda dust go to my hand and tearing it apart. I was low level and I just found a scroll of it. If you don't want to take it away its okay just make it have a protection against evil you know just in case. If I was a fighter and i was very procefient (can't spell it sorry) with halbreds I would be unstopabble. Well not unstopabble but close to be. But you can kill a lot of enimes a lot of enimes with the special abilites and all. I think if you should lower the number of uses of spells. But that is just my opinoin.

LAST EPISODE EL DIABLO WON! THIS IS A SNEAK PREVIEW OF THE NEXT EPISODE!
diablo: ROOOOOAAAAAAAARRR DIE LIKE THE MANY BEFORE YOU!!
knight: I won't die but you will! You have never faced a Bhaal spawn!

Uhh... Whacky? Dude, your math is just a little off. If there is a 5 percent chance of summoning a demon, you would theoretically summon one within every 20 hits (and probly a lot more), not every one hundred. I hate to be critical, as it is YOUR item, but unintentional wrong info can be pretty bad

I would change the 15 fire damage to 1D5 Fire damage
Lose the Demon Summoning

Let's see... I don't approve of making such a powerful item, but here goes...

The item lowers the wielder's charisma five points due to the aura it gives off.
It lowers constitution, strength, and dexterity two points each due to the fact that it's physically draining to touch such an evil and alien item.
There is a 5% chance that when you enter an area, a POWERFUL party of Harpers, druids, elves, or adventurers spawns and attempts to confiscate the item.
Naturally it's only usable by evil chars.
There is a one percent chance every time it hits an enemy the wielder loses, permanently, 1d4 hit points, representing the fact that the item holds more power than the wielder imagines. It will sap the user's strength until it finally absorbs them, and will forever hold their imprisoned soul until the item is destroyed. That would explain how it got so powerful.. enslaved souls.
The wielder's reputation cannot go higher than six.
The wielder's reaction adjustments always suffer a -6 penalty.
Paladins attempt to get the item, first by persuasion but will resort to force... always. Every paladin you ever encounter will end up attacking you if you refuse to surrender the item. This goes the same for any elven cleric or an elf who wields a moonblade. (Moonblades house a portion of the previous users' souls, thus making the moonblade your item's opposite and thus an affront to the elves.)

Also, when the demon is randomly summoned, it attacks the wielder. And follows them. And it doesn't go away until it's killed.

Whodoyouthinkyouare my maths is right i was talking about having summoned a demon twice in a row, by simple probability 0.05*0.05=0.0025 times in hundred, i think anyone can confirm that.

5% = 5 in 100, thus one in 20.
To get it again is another 5 in 100, or one in 20.

For both of these to be true at once, we multiply 5/100 x 5/100; which gives 25/10,000
Which becomes 0.25%

EDIT: To all those who suggest Prot from Evil when equipped: not having that makes it a more dangerous item to use, and thus less overpowered.
