Kelsey (as of the just-released 1.0.4 patch) will not only quarrel with Anomen, he'll even object to the Solaufein romance that until now people could have "on the side."

So, besides the Kelsey mod, what others are there? And is there a web site that has them all (or a great deal of them) for download? I'm fairly new to BG2 since I didn't have a computer that could handle it until last year, and didn't buy the game until a few months ago because I was tied up in orchestra things. Any mod that will give me an option other than Anomen is fine by me.. heck, at this point I'm ready to start hitting on Jaheira. She seems like she could swing both ways.. and at least I'd get some decent conversation in. We could even plot against Anomen behind his back. And please don't let my husband read this post... ahaha.

Reputed to be the best mod of a female character is Tashia, also a NG sorceror, but an elf and a romance for male PCs. There's a patch to make her go for ladies, too.

Then there are two mods I know of that make in-game NPCs joinable.

The sole gender-neutral drow romance out there is Solaufein. Very detailed and intelligent mod.

Probably the only evil NPC out there currently is Valen, a very nice fighter/thief. She is a vampire, and can level drain. Her armor protects her from the sun, but her strength goes down to 6 and her dex to 1 during the day, so you might as well travel at night. It's actually kind of fun. [img]smile.gif[/img] She's rather quiet, but interesting to play the game with.

Currently in development is Chloe, a TN half-elven Kensai lesbian romance.

Also currently in development are Krondor and Torgan. The former is the only unique dwarf NPC out there, if memory serves, and the latter is a charming moon elf romance for female PCs.

Also also currently in development: Scarab and Callista, a fighter/assassin and an assassin, both romanceable. The male is CN, the female is CE. Likely, when released, they will be the first male neutral and female evil romances.

And finally, my project: Rowan. She is a female human Chaotic Good reformed assassin dualed to fighter, who has foregone the use of poison. She will have special shadow armor which drains some XP and allows her to continue improving as a thief to a limited degree (skill raises on levels, slowly increasing backstab modifier, the chance to choose assassination and traps from the high-level ability screen.) She will be a romance for a male PC of any race, and any PC can make her evil, though not of her own free will (you have to force the alignment change.)

The lesbian kensai sounds like a riot, since I'm playing a female kensai in my single player game right now. Can't wait for that. She's not butch, is she? I can always change her if she is. But "Torgan" isn't an Elvish name. Who thought that up? Sounds more like he's a dwarf, too.

I HATE anomen!!! Why does he babble like a rich snob about his boring childhood. No one cares. I killed him with a disinagrate spell so he cant be revived. Ha now what hes dead and all his caring friends you see when you go to investagate his sisters murder dead anyone who even said a thing about being sorry for him i backstabed.

What's with this bashing of Anomen? My sympathy to female players of BG2 who are stuck with Anomen as the only romance choice. But, that was digressing on my part. Anomen combines fighter and cleric together, making him an effective two for one deal. He can cast spells AND waste monsters in melee. Especially once Crom Faeyr is assembled AND Anomen acquires Grand Mastery with War Hammers.

Good heavens, doesn't anybody make Custom NPCs that aren't romances anymore? I'm certainly not objecting, but it'd be fun to see the characters romance each other, not just you. If my good computer was operational, I'd be working on my own MOD of 12 NPCs (I think it was 12) including:
A male CG Halfling Priest of Lathander that will romance Halflings or Gnomes--if you turn him down, he turns to Mazzy.
A female NE Elven Assassin. Naturally, she and Viconia get along famously--if your PC is Evil, she won't interfere. If you're Neutral, she tries to get in the way but can be overcome if your CHA is high enough. If you chose a Good character, Viconia swings lezzy instead.
A female CN Half-Orc Cleric/Thief (Priest of Tymora). Will romance any male except Halflings, Gnomes, Elves, or pure Wizards.
A male Cavalier that will romance Nalia if you don't. (Has some interesting dialogues with Keldorn.)
A married Human couple: A LN Skald and her Totemic Druid husband.(CANNOT be separated except through death--even then, you cannot use the survivor for a full month, until he/she is done mourning. Kinda beats Jaheira getting over it within 7 hours, don't you think?)
