Skywalker,
That is a very interesting article...two such conflicting reports on his admittance of any guilt. I would really like to see that video (first article's source) if it does exist!
The first article does sound more like Bin Laden than the report made by Mir.
It can certainly make one wonder which is true and if Mir is being threatened/paid to dispel truths and/or spread confusion on the whole situation or if the first article is just propaganda to keep the turmoil alive.
One thing that gets me is that Mir describes so in detail his "location" during this interview...as if Bin Laden would want anyone to know where he is (or would want anyone to think they know where he is!).
Confusing to say the least, to try to discern any absolute truth from anything we read or hear these days! Esp when this article quotes Bin Laden as changing his tune about Americans and now pointing to the guilty as American policy. I am not sure I can believe it and would suspect it of an attempt to actually protect Bin Laden by calming fears and making people back off in their search for him (or get lost LOL)
Am I paranoid or what LOL
One thing is certain though, you guys are right if Bin Laden, through the Al-Queada, is not directly responsible for the 9-11 attacks (doubtful IMO but)...taking out the wrong man could cause major repercussions since this situation is on such a global level. Not only would it incite more violence for his capture/death but it would leave the truly guilty free to terrorize again on the same scale.
*shudder*

Ziroc's article seems to hold a bit more weight for me, too.

The "kinder, gentler" Bin Laden doesn't really seem to fit based on past performance and appearances, but who knows?

Long as you know, I didn't post the link to disprove Ziroc's post. Just posting the news is all. I think either it's a case of one of the reporters misinterpreting the interview or he's playing both sides of the field. I'm sure because of his rep it's easy not not believe "anything" he tells reporters on a given day. Let's just say he has no credibility!

Yes, Mark!
I did want to say that I did not make my response to belittle or discredit the article you posted!
It actually brought a lot to light and I thank you for it!

I didn't mean it that way, so no worries!

It is interesting to see the kind of stories that develop from something with this much exposure. They're pretty tame so far, but I fully expect to see a "National Enquirer" exclusive proving Osama is the father of a prominent Western Celebrity's "love child"...lol.

LOL, you missed it then I'm thinkin. For a good month now, here, when standing in line in a grocery store, there is the infamous "Weekly World News"! sitting right there in your line of vision, all lined up with the other tabloids. Man the fake dumbass stories that you see in this "paper" are so idiotic, they are actually entertaining! Anyways, for a month now they have on and off shown on their front page (attention grabber LOL) BAT BOY!!! C'mon you haven't seen BAT BOY? Oh if so you are missing out on a genius creation (not!). Well, apparently the government is using him as a secret weapon in Afghanistan. He is who is gonna win this war for us with his freakishness alone! LOL, The Inquirer has NOTHING on the Weekly World News...
