IQ scores - how smart was your state?

Statistically those with more education tend to be more left-leaning; naturally, there is no real correlation between IQ and education--someone with a 180 IQ could be born into a poor family and thus never become a Nobel-prize winning chemist. Likewise, although those with higher IQ might perform better on standardized tests, the tests are themselves not an indicator.

Bottom line, cute little statistics like this serve only to divide people based on state of origin, political leanings, or percieved intelligence (or lack thereof).

YOU ARE CORRECT AZRED!!!!!

I haven't checked lately but 15-20 years ago the avg. Republican was higher educated then the avg. Democrat. Now that does not mean the those with advanded degrees are less likely to lean left, it just means the avg of ALL is this or that. ie: there may be 1,000 with advanced degrees 90% lean left, there are 1,000,000 with BA's 51% lean right, there are 1,000,000 with high school diplomas 51% lean left. If you you do the numbers you'll see the avg. is higher education for the right leaners.

It becomes a numbers game, an example from my own life I worked at a company that had 10 artists, we produced 150 designs that sold, I was the top selling artist, yet I only had 2 designs in the top 25, #21& #24 IIRC, Of the next top 50 designs I had 25+- vast majority were #'s 26-#40, next 50 designs I had 10-15, bottom 25 designs I had 1.
I avg. 17% of total sales from my artwork the next closest artist was at 12% although they had 3 to 4 times the designs I had in the top 25, including the #1 & #2 selling designs, and nowhere near what I had in the next levels. Until you reached the bottom 25 they had 5-6 times what I had. The bottom selling designs killed their total sells. It's all a numbers game.
