I really like Daystar, a sword that you find in the Bridge District. It is pretty cool. Blade of Roses, that you can buy from Bernard at the Copper Coronet is neat too.(although there is an irritating "bug" about daystar)

Also, Raas, the sword in trademeet, can become a Mordkin Sword for a bit. SO usefull.

Thiefprowess, belm+2 isnt found in the shauagin city, you get from the Ogres Tower in the Druid Grove.

Not Planar Sphere, Planar Prison. There are a few weapons in the Sphere, but nothing that I ever keep. (I suppose you might want to hang onto the Staves for their enchantments, maybe.....)

Blade of the Roses is good. Sword of Balduran (Deidre) is also real good. Joluv has some +3 scimitar/wakizashis if you happen to have a proficiency in it. If you have ToB installed, then you can drop by the first level of the Watcher's Keep and grab the Short Sword of Mask +4 and Usuno's Blade. (a wakizashi/ninja-to) The problem with that is that if you go to the WK too early, you'll never get Foebane. It kinda seems weird that an enemy that doesn't always appear would hold one of the best weapons in the game, so i usually CLUA it to myself in chp. 6 or so. (unupgraded, of course)

Most good weapons in the beginning are 2hswords and staffs. just use 2handed weapons until you find some good ones. The D'Arnise keep axe and flail are very good, (even tho they aren't swords) but Bernard sells the Stonefire Axe +3, which can be used during the Keep, which is quite helpful, since it does fire damage.

i reckon the best longsword is blackrazor, the one you get from hell to free the genie. it heals you, drains the opponents levels and adds to your strength for a short time and also has other feats.

the equaliser is very good too.
