I was not very happy with what EA did with Generals. I only pray that they do not tarnish my memories of the Tiberium Saga.

I've only ever played the original C&C plus Covert Ops and the original Red Alert. Absolutely love the original C&C, completed it a few times.
I actually like it more than Red Alert - I've got the old DOS version too!
The soundtrack to C&C is just pure magic -
I downloaded it recently and its just so groovy to kickback to. I'm the mechanical man!

I must admit that I've since fallen away from the series somewhat...played the first couple of levels of Tiberium Sun at a mates place, but never did get a hold of it.

Cerebro, I just reinstalled Red Alert 2 along with Yuri's revenge and am loving it. I love the original Red Alert but there is something about RA2 that so addicting.

I am really looking forward to C&C 3!

Bought the first few for my husband for Christmas, so I guess I better start saving if another is coming out!

As did I, in fact, I don't ever think I have had an instillation of Windows without installing RA2/Yuri's revenge aswell (played it at work today

Really? I thought it was a pretty good game.

It is never easy and generally never succesfull to go from 2D to 3D, and I think that EA did a pretty good job of it.

Unfortunantly 95% of the Westwood employees are no longer with EA (alot of them stuck around and helped with Generals and other games) so it is pretty much up to EA this time.....

I could never get into those games, the controls were retarded.

I'd be building an army of infantry in the middle of my base, and a tank would just come along and roll over 15 minutes worth of production, but when I tried to have my tanks roll over people they'd just try going around them which was very frustrating.
