Also, by solving quests you get access to more tatoos at Fell´s.

There´s no real multi or dual class like in BG2 for the protagonist but you can switch between the classes just by talking to the apropiate person. The different between a normal dual class and the one in PT is that in games like BG2 a fighter->mage can use all fighter weapons once you regain the fighter abilities. This is not the case in PT. Switch to a mage and you can only use mage weapons. I´ve heard from somewhere that after increasing your skills on one of your class you can´t switch to another class ever. Example of this would be if you got max prof. points in a weapon. Can anyone verify this?

I´ve also heard a rumor that you can become a multi-class ( level up in both classes) but this is most likely a bug.

My mage ended up with 25 in INT, WIS and CHA. It was an amazing experience. I took a shot at playing a fighter, and it didn't even come close...

Yes, the game is biased heavily towards the mage/high mental stats character. You can do it the tank/high physical stats method, but you miss out on so much when you do so.

I wouldn't reccomend using that book (grimore of pestilent thought i think it's called) unless you're ahigh level mage and of an evil alignment

btw, regarding resting....
anytime you trade/talk to a merchant, if you see the "bed" symbol in the store window, just click it. different merchants have different levels of rest areas, just like in the BG games. its even available with some outdoor merchants.

AND, you're practically handed SEVEN personal rest areas in the beginning of the game.

if you follow-up with a certain spy, disguised as a zombie in the mortuary, he gives you access to the portal to the tomb. he even makes a highly agitated point of telling you that "you can REST there!" so that gives you a rest spot in the first quadrant of sigil.

you can get a free room at the boarding house by doing a very easy quest for the owner.

angyar & his wife, the man who bought the dustman contract, lets you sleep there if you complete thier quest.

the old crone who teaches you magick, mebbeth, lets you sleep there if you ask her.

the "seamstress", crazy marta, under ragpicker square also lets you sleep there when you ask her.

the merchant outside of the market place will sell you a bed for the night.

the godsmen faction (if you are a godsman) happily let you rest with them.

so those are all available in the beginning of the game. there's absolutely NO shortage of places to recouperate anywhere. but like most things in PST, you have to talk to people and explore to find them.

good luck
